Channel translating equipment

The EMC problem is one of the most important for modern mobile communication systems. The transition to fully digital methods of radio signal processing took place actually at the turn of 3G systems life. Therefore it became possible to relax the requirements for spectral guard bands. So, for UMTS (3G) systems having the information carrying bandwidth of 3.84 MHz a guard band at least 4.8 MHz was required per channel. It means that 25% and more of the radiofrequency resource in the UMTS networks are spent for arranging the guard bands.  Both special analog filters with a high selectivity and digital filters are used in the McWiLL system to ensure the suppression exceeding 30 dB outside information carrying bandwidth, starting with the frequency tuning in the range of 7.5% in operation frequency band units.  The input LNA stages ensure the operation with the blocking level caused by a powerful harmonic signal having the level of about 90 dB over the receiving path’s sensitivity. All this makes it possible for a McWiLL system to operate in a complicated interference environment and to meet rigid requirements with respect of EMC with external networks. The list of available radio equipment includes the switched repeaters that support the operation in the mode of adaptive control of connection to various BTS so that it is possible to adjust the load distribution and to avoid the peak local overloads.
