On June 4th, the largest annual half marathon «ZaBeg.RF» with a synchronous start in which more than 160 thousand people took part, took place in 89 cities of Russia.
In Moscow and St. Petersburg organizers used the GOST R 58166-2018 broadband radio communication and radio stations to coordinate such a large-scale event. Due to the well coordinated work of GOST R 58166-2018 radio communication systems, more than 15 thousand people successfully participated in the half marathon in Moscow, and more than 18 thousand people in St. Petersburg.
Traditionally, GOST R 58166-2018 radio stations were used by organizers, volunteers, first-aid medical workers, judges, officers of the Rosgvardiya and the Road Patrol Service. Totally 180 radio stations and 2 mobile communication complexes on the basis of a minibus and a trailer were involved in two cities. According to the organizers, the event was held at a high level, all participants were satisfied with the quality of the communication service provided.
