On May 22, 2022, Moscow hosted a unique sports event a half marathon in which 15000 athletes took part. The LLC BIT-Center telecom operator of the McWiLL network in Moscow successfully provided the organizers of this large scale event with equipment and professional communication services.
More than 100 McWiLL radio stations were provided to volunteers, medical workers, law enforcement officers and administration. The operation of the McWiLL network which provided a wide range of trunking communication services, high-speed data transmission, positioning, dispatching and supported the best radio coverage throughout all the half marathon routes (21 kilometers, 10 kilometers, 5 kilometers and 1 «kid's» kilometer) received high ratings from users, administrators and headquarters staff.
The McWiLL unified communication network united groups working on the route and transmitting information about what is happening: medical teams, including several ambulances and intensive care units, administrative groups coordinating the event (schedule of the route, medical support, economic and technical issues) and members of the judging panel.
All operational headquarters (Rosgvardiya, Ambulance, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Traffic Police and Traffic Management Center in terms of traffic safety management on the streets adjacent to the route) were also provided with the McWiLL radio stations so that promptly receiving full information from all groups they could, if necessary, give orders or take part in solving a complex situation.
The use of the McWiLL system made it possible to promptly respond to emergency situations that arose during the event: from managing the movement of race participants along the route to solving issues related to ensuring public order and security.
The McWiLL dispatch system ensured the effective operation of the stationary operational headquarters as well as the mobility of all the heads of the directions who could freely move around the territory of the event without losing operational control over the situation.
