Influence of resource block size of OFDM signal on the network operation quality indices for LTE and McWiLL standard networks

Abstract. Analysis was carried out for the influence of the resource block size (RB) of OFDM signal on the quality of 4G network operation. Methodology and efficiency index were proposed for the digital traffic mode that make it possible to take account of the influence of the resource block size on the rate of digital traffic and the blocking probability (GoS). It was found that the sampling at the rate of 2RB used in LTE is too high. This may lead to the loss of the throughput and to the GoS increase. In the McWiLL, the resource-distribution sampling size is set with the accuracy of RB/8. It was shown that in this case there was no loss in the throughput.
